 This application is a highly optimized, self contained, three-dimensional web browser. It begins by loading three initial image objects:
By selecting one of these, a story begins to unfold. The source story, appearing on the right of the screen is analyzed for context and compared to the keywords and descriptions in the database. A list of matches appears in the lower right. Selecting a match in the lower right loads the image associated with the match into the scene (it appears as a square image object). It also adds the word or the phrase that matched the source story, to your story, appearing on the left side of the screen. All the objects in the scene can be placed anywhere within the scene (click on the image, then click on a location on the ground). Thus a story, and the world the story is based on, is constructed. You will notice that some images are square, and others are "shaped" in corespondence with the image. Square images are those that have been returned by clicking in the results list on the right. The "shaped" images, returned automatically when you begin selecting in the scene, are unique in that they have different source stories associated with them. By selecting a different "shaped" image, a different source story is analyzed, a new narative thread is created, and a different set of matches are made available. | ||||||
